Business Analyst

We are a hard working team that is relentless in building a great company focused on patients, culture, and performance. We are searching for a Business Analyst to join our team, based in Braintree, MA. This will be 20-30 hours per week.

This is a new position for PhysicianOne and the ideal candidate for this position will be detail oriented, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, eager to learn, and driven to produce high-quality work.

As a Business Analyst, you will be an internal consultant to the Management team and focus on transforming data into actionable business insights to fuel the growth and success of PhysicianOne.   You will work with data sets available internally from our own systems as well as developing intelligence and analytics from outside of the Company.

The position is entry-level, with a high ceiling for growth in both professional experience and role within the quickly evolving organization. The role will focus on the following key business areas

  • Managing and Developing Competitive Information,
  • Developing and Reporting Analytics around Key Metrics
  • Supporting Real Estate Evaluation Process
  • Supporting Due Diligence related to M&A
  • Financial Analysis, as required


  • ·         Work to develop a competitor database that assesses quantitative and qualitative variables about our competitors within each market.  Develop tools to obtain competitive updates that impact us nationally, regionally and locally.
  • ·         Develop tools to track all national and regional events, trends that impact Urgent Care and/or our business relationships with consumers, insurance companies, health systems or regulatory agencies.
  • ·         Develop and manage reporting of analytics around patients, patient visits and other key demographics around our relationships with patients, payers and other healthcare providers.
  • ·         Develop tools to obtain and evaluate demographic and competitive information in conjunction with real estate evaluations for new sites.
  • ·         Understand the underlying databases and grow to understand how to best develop and configure customer data both from patient, payer and referring physician standpoint.
  • ·         Support due diligence projects from data collection, financial analysis and collection and analysis of demographics and other analytics critical to evaluation of M&A targets.
  • ·         Working with Finance team, participate in budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis work.


  • Highly proficient with data analytics, and experience in data manipulation using a variety of tools
  • Proven ability to work independently and ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to be flexible and adopt to change as a result of industry and organizational changes.
  • Ability to establish relationships and engage with internal and external customers to achieve department and organizational objectives.
  • Ability to streamline and improve operational processes and metrics.
  • Must have experience with SQL and relational databases.   Strong Excel and Access skills required. Excellent understanding of Boolean queries.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to critically think and problem solve.
  • Proven history of taking initiative, and having a self-driven approach to determining what’s important to focus on
  • Natural curiosity, and a demonstrated ability to turn observed data into a story about what behavior is driving that data
  • Ability to take complicated problems and build simple frameworks
  • Demonstrated verbal, written and presentation skills.  


·  BS in Mathematics, Business, or a related field

·  0-3 years of analytics experience, ideally in a retail or healthcare services company

·  Comfortable in fast-paced, results driven environment
